Wrapped Nuclear Plant

(1996) photograph, color pencil and ink on paper

An impossibly unrealistic proposal a la Christo to shroud a damaged or decommissioned nuclear power plant in lead-encased safety yellow fabric.  Below the image are listed all the 250+ plants in existence at the time.  When I first came up with the idea I thought it might actually be a practical solution. I quickly realized how dangerous, inadequate and probably futile it would be––which is really the point needing to be made.
