Soft Corral for the Sheep Meadow
Soft Corral for the Sheep Meadow, Central Park, NYC, 1997. Collage on Paper. 27" x 32". Up until the early 1900s sheep grazed on the Sheep Meadow and were housed in what is now the Tavern on the Green. This installation proposal revives the original pastoral folly while still allowing for contemporary uses. Volunteers would tend the sheep, clean up after them and move the corral as needed.
